>> high CPU utilization for system Idle Process

Problem:

Hi I have Dell optiplex GX 270 PC P1V 2.8 Ghz 512 MB RAM and 80 GB hard disk. Running on windows XP. System become too slow. I have not running any high end applications. I only use this PC for internet and email. I suspect on process called system idle process. Which is taking above 90% CPU utilization. Please help me.

Solution:

• System slowness not because of system idle process, above 90% utilization for system idle process is normal.

• This problem could be from Virus, Spyware, legacy application which is having memory leaks.

• Download good Antivirus or Spayware removal tool scan your computer.

• Uninstall recently install program and check.

• Boot the system system with safe mode and check the system performances.

• If the system still slow in safe mode also then check disk consistency using chkdsk utility.
