When I try to unlock my computer today, keyboard is not responding, removed the keyboard connector and reconnected, still same problem. System was hanged. pressed reset key to restart the system. After restating I am getting following blue screen error message.

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0x820BAE50, 0xC00000102, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

I have tried booting with Last Known Good Configuration, Safe mode, Safe mode with Command prompt, Still receiving same error message. Please help me I have very imp. work to I do not have time to reinstall Windows.

Solution:

Look like you have tried all the available booting options. I think your system has file system corruption or hard disk corruption. To fix this issue try following steps.

1. Boot your PC with Windows 2000 pro CD, and Enter Windows 2000 setup.

2. Press ENTER at the Setup Notification screen to go to the Welcome to Setup screen.

3. Press R to repair a Windows 2000 installation, and then press C to use the Recovery Console.

4. Select the 'Operating System' to repair. eg. 1: C:\WINNT.

5. Press 1, ENTER. Now you need to enter Administrator password:

6. Now you will have access to C drive. Type chkdsk c: /f /r command. it will check hard disk for error.

7. After completing chkdsk command successfully type exit reboot the PC. Remove the CD from CD ROM drive.

After doing above stem your system should boot normally.

Note: - If chkdsk command exits abnormally, shows some bad sectors, or hangs, taking very long time to complete, means your hard disk has uncorrectable problem. you need to replace your hard disk or reformat and reinstall Windows.
