>> USB Device Not Recognized

Problem:

I have brought new HP USB printer yesterday. But its not working, After installing HP Printer driver software, As soon as I plug USB cable to USB port Windows XP detects and shows Found new Hardware, After this immediately show following message.

"USB Device Not Recognized One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, Click this message."

Hardware Configuration: P IV 2.8 GHz, Mercury MB, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD.

Please help to install HP printer successfully.

Solution:

You are not mentioned where exactly you have connected your printer.

Please note if you have connected your USB printer to lengthy USB hub or USB extension cable. You will face above mentioned issue. Because they are not getting enough power to them.

So if you are connected to an USB Hub or USB extension cable, remove from their and connect it directly into you motherboard USB port and see it may resolve this issue.
