Unable to open pen drive from my computer.
Problem:-
Hi, I have a 8 GB Kingston USB pen drive. I have stored very imported
project data in it. Now am unable to access my data from pen drive. When I
try to open pen drive from my computer I get the error message "Drive F is
not formatted. Do you want to format now?" I have removed the pen drive from
USB port and reinserted again with other USB port, still getting the same
error.
Please help me to retrieve data back from my pen drive. Thanks in advance.
Solution:-
Look like your pen drive infected with W32.SillyFDC virus. First you have to
scan your pen drive with latest version of Antivirus and remove the virus.
You can also run full system scan to remove the virus from other drive.
After removing the virus from your system restart the computer. Now you can
access your pen drive.
If you are still facing problem to open your pen drive. You
can download small tool called Flash_Disinfector.exe from
http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/Flash_Disinfector.exe
double click on Flash_Disinfector.exe it will to the required
change. You will be able to open your pen drive and access the data.
