How to install HP USB printer on Windows XP.
 

To complete the USB printer installation successfully, you should have following requirements.

Requirement:- USB port in the computer, USB printer, USB cable, Printer Driver software CD.

1. Do not connect the Printer to the computer before installing the Printer driver software. In case you have already connected the printer to the computer, unplug the printer USB cable from the computer and restart the computer.

2. Insert Printer driver software CD in to the drive. In case if you do not have the Printer driver software CD, you can download the driver software from the printer vendor 's website.

3. Double click on the Setup file to install the printer driver software.

4. After installing printer driver software, connect the printer to the computer using printer USB cable.

5. Windows will detect the USB printer and install the driver automatically.

6. Now  go to Start -> Printer and Faxes Window, check the installed printer.
