Branded PC or Assembled PC

You want to buy a PC but you are not able to decide which one to go Branded or Assembled.
I have mentioned some advantages and disadvantages of both the types.

Branded PC:- Entire PC is assembled or bundled by branded company with single brand name using OEM hardware. e.g.. Dell Optiplex PCs, HP Pavilion PCs, Compaq Presario PCs, etc.

Advantages of branded PC
1. Come with Preloaded Operating system.
2. Quality assured because manufactures of Banded PCs are expertise in this industry.
3. We can expect good performance.
4. Good Service support.

Disadvantages of branded PC
1. 20 to 30 % expensive when compare to an assembled PC
2. Difficult to upgrade.
3. Not possible to customize the configuration

Assembled PC:-Assemble a PC with hardware part and peripherals of various brands. E.g.. make a PC with Intel processor, Asus mother board, Seagate Hard disk, Sony DVD drive, LG monitor, Logitech mouse Samsung Keyboard etc..

Advantages of an assembled PC
1. You can customize the configuration.
2. easy to upgrade.
3. Cheaper when compare to branded PC
4. Most of the parts come with 3 to 5 year warranty.

Disadvantages of an assembled PC
1. Service support is poor.
2. Uncertain about quality.
3. Need to purchase OS separately.

Finally I would like to recommend Branded PCs for people who do not want any headaches of service support issues and do not want to upgrade their PCs. These PCs are very good for corporate.

Assembled PCs for people who know computer hardware well, they can handle technical problem themselves, Prefer to upgrade the hardware frequently.
